An installation & performance exploring the incomprehensible tragedy we call death.

A perforamnce, serving as a ritual, honoring my late mother. The ritual included singing a lullaby my mother used to sing to me, reading aloud poems written by my brother and sister, and an audio of a meditative chant.

My mother would sometimes wear a transparent veil. Here, I incorporate this transparent fabric veil in the installation. The fabric surrounds me, acting as a veil of protection. The fabirc visually softens what is behind it. And in parallell, it helps soften the harsh truth of a reality without my mother.
